Hello all

I’m in a rut… Not so much in creating stuff, but when it comes to blogging… I have had to prioritize a bit different lately.

I keep drawing and making cards and other stuff though. And I have a lot of images to show you today… :) I won’t describe them to you as I really have to get off to bed, but I’ll put up the images and if you want to know anything about the cards, just leave me a comment and I’ll help you as best as I can.

This is a wedding card I made last summer. The wedding got postponed, so I couldn’t show it until now. Now that the couple is happily married; here it is! :)

The next project is a little brag book, a minialbum I made from scratch, starting with nothing but some papers and doublesided tape…

The next card I made for my son to give to Madame Ink’s daughter for her second birthday. I drew the little teddy holding a tag and it is just perfect to use for dates or other numbers.

These three cards are a bit smaller, they are about 11×11 cm (4×4″). Quite simple ones, and the only reason for making them really, was to get rid of some left over pieces of paper! ;)

I made a card to order. It was supposed to be for a little girl that likes Cars, especially the red one… It turned out that the little red car she likes was Roary the Racing car! But when I found that out it was too late, I had already made this…

The last card for today… I used my Trolla, big flowers and a lot of Gazelle cut leaves… :)

This was it for today. I have another two cards, but they will have to wait a little longer though. I don’t like to put them on display before they reach their destinations… :)

Soooo, these are seven new projects, not counting the wedding card since that’s an old one. So numbers 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34. Only 66 more to go (or 64 relly, since two more are already done). One third down!!!

Ahhh!!!

It’s crazy hectic now… I spend my days working… And not much else. Actually my job’s not that bad, but the irregular hours is a killer. One day I have to be at work at five am, the next I’m working late until ten thirty pm, and the next it’s eight to five… I’m pooped. And I have trouble going to sleep, I’ve never had any trouble going to sleep before! I actually took the day off the other day, took my baby to daycare (he was scheduled to go there anyway) and then just lay on the sofa the whole day doing nothing! Boy, did I need that!!! I felt more relaxed after that then I’ve felt for… ages! :)

But now, onto why you’re here! I have a couple of cards to show you. Or rather, a card and a box…card… It’s a combined box and card! A friend wanted me to make a giftbox with a card attached to it.

The box is tied together with a satinribbon. I attached the card to the lid of the box, so that the recipient can open the card without opening the box.

The stamp is a digi that I drew using a description of the person recieving the box. I found out she had reddish/brown hair with straight bangs and framed glasses. When I showed it to my friend that ordered the box, she just laughed out loud. I was spot on, she said. :)

Then I had to do something pink to lighten up a bit. ;) And I went very pink indeed.

Ok, I might have been a bit green too… I used the Magnolia (I think) strawberry, once again an image I coloured a long time ago, that was just laying around.  And the flower count stopped at 34. I actually used 34 flowers on one single card…! If I keep going at that rate i will be all out of flowers long before the time I’m allowed to do some shopping again… And speaking of that, these are my number 26 and 27 projects.

Happy crafting my friends!

A Marathon Post

Today I was at a scrap marathon, arranged by Mia at Mixen. It was very nice, and actually the first time I took part in such a thing. I had the company of two of the Stämpelkällan design team members, Elli and Madame Ink, and also Linnéa, whom I set up the scrapbooking exhibition together with.  I managed to get two cards and a box done, and I think that was a very acceptable outcome.

My first card was for a sketch challenge. It was a bit of a struggle, and I didn’t really like the sketch very much, but I got it done in time. I didn’t win anything though, that honor went to Linnéa! Yay!

Here’s my card using the sketch:

There was a lot of circles in a row, and my biggest problem was to find something small enough so that I could fit all of the circles in, yet stood out to overcome the pattern of the paper.  I think I managed ok, all things considering…

I used a couple of pins from Wild Orchid and the stamp is one of my own digis.

The next one I had the pieces for, it was just putting it together and decorating it really… Easy peasy!

I had a huge problem knowing what to pack and bring with me, and luckily I decided to bring EVERYTHING! :) Else I wouldn’t have had the blue flowers for this one. The stamp is a digi that I printed and coloured almost two years ago, when I first got my new Copic pens. The result’s not too shabby I think…

The image is from Beccy’s Place and it did swallow quite a lot of ink though as it’s not printed on my special Copic paper that I normally use nowadays… :)

Last, but not the least, of todays projects; a box! I used the template I made a while back. The bigger one. The smaller can be downloaded in this post here. The lid for the smaller one will fit through the Cuttlebug so that one might put a little window in it.

I used flowers and cheesecloth, and Madame Ink let me borrow her Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  The banner can be bought at Stämpelkällan, it’s a very useful banner… ;)

That was all the projects made today! I actually have two more projects, that have gotten quite old already… They were made at the end of March, and one of them was a small birthday card for my brother.

All of the stamps I have used for this card are available at Stämpelkällan!

The other project was for me. A new sketch book that had to be made a little more personal…

This was number 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 all done! One quarter down and only 75 to go!!! (Although I’ve been cheating a bit… Just a little. Normally I would have spent thousands of kronor by now, but this far I’ve only spent about 600, and that includes the entrance fee for the fair in Gothenburg. And honestly, you can’t go to a scrapping fair and buy NOTHING, right?)

Whoa, it’s been a marathon post tonight… For all of you that made it this far, I wish you a good night and a happy Sunday!

PS: A new freebie will be posted at the 1st of each month from now on, beginning in May… I simply don’t have the time anymore to make it bi-weekly.

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter!

I made a hanger for the door yesterday as I realised that we haven’t put up a single bit of easter decorations this year… Not that we usually do a lot, but a few chickens and eggs would normally be in place somewhere in the apartment.

Last weekend we were visiting my mum on the westcoast and then it was work work work, so there haven’t been a lot of crafting made, but I have managed to get a card together.

This card will be added to the Wild Orchid challenge where the theme is Things with Wings. I have used a stamp from Stämpelkällan – Idun with heart (S30). It’s an oldie, from the very first batch of Stämpelkällan stamps, but one that I still love! I originally drew this image for my husband at Valentines back in… 2008? I’ve used a MS punch around the page to make the base, a Magnolia die, Nellie Snellen punch, flowers from Prima and the asters are from Wild Orchid.

Since this card is one of those that won’t open there’s a pocket with a tag for writing on the back. And of course, it wouldn’t be me without a lot of Stickles everywhere, would it? ;) Wish I’d remembered to put some cheesecloth on there too… It would have looked really nice peeking out from under the image…

There, project number 19 and 20 of my 100… only 80 to go!!! :D

I did promise you a while back that I’d treat you to the template of my hexagonal box. Here’s the small one, the one that is small enough to fit the lid through a Cuttlebug!

Download template!

Just cut along the outlines and score the rest, fold together and fasten with doublesided tape or glue. When I did it, I cut the flaps bigger than they are on the template, just to make it easier to use the doublesided tape. Just a tip. ;) Leave me a comment if you like it!

Have a great Easter Holiday everyone! As for me, I’m stuck at work every single day…

A couple of cards…

Haven’t had much crafting time this week, just time for work, work, work… But I did take some time last weekend to go through some left over papers and pair them up to make some card bases. This way I just have to add motifs and embellishments, and don’t have to think about papers…!

I managed to make two cards this week. Very simple ones though, but they can be nice for a change too. :)

I used a Stämpelkällan stamp (S2) and not much else. A ribbon and a few pearls, that’s it!

For the second card I used a sweet little digi stamp called Argus, but I have no idea where I got it… If someone recognizes it, could you let me know so that I know in the future?

I added a few Paper Pen pearls, a couple of flowers and some bakers twine. I used the heart charm from my digi shop as well.

So, number 17 and 18 projects all done! ”Only” 82 to go!!! :)

New card and freebie

I keep on going to fill the big order of twelve cards… For this one I used some of my old scraps of paper and a very yummy looking cupcake digi from Dulemba.

I used a lot of different reds; R59, R46, R29, R27, R22, R20 and R00. Then I added glaze on the cherry and stickles on just about everything else… ;)

I changed the freebie today too. Available in the sidebar for a couple of weeks is this:

Two charms for your easter projects!  Hope you like, please leave a comment if you do! :)

Wish you all a happy week end!!!

Five new cards…

It’s been a busy week… I have five new cards to show you today. Theo has a new ear infection going, so I’m at home taking care of him this week, which actually leaves me a bit of free time to make some more cards! :D

The first one is a birtday card for a male recipient… I chose a dusty red/brown combo and digital images from Dustin Pike and Dulemba. Can you believe it, I didn’t use any of my own or Stämpelkällans this time!!! :D Along with a couple of dies and punches, flowers and a little cheese cloth, it came together quite nice I think.

The second card…

I had a little blue DP left over, and decided not to let my pile of leftover bits grow any larger than it already is… This must be one of my mostly used layouts, but it’s so easy to get rid of little pieces of paper like this. :) I used the new butterfly and charm that are available in my digi shop.  They are coloured with Copic colours number B93, B95, B97, E43, E47, E49 and E57. A piece of ribbon, a couple of flourishes from Magnolia and quite a few cream coloured roses finished it of!

Yeah, it’s an easel card. A long time ago since I made one of these… The stamp used on the inside is from Stämpelkällan and is called ”Klockbakgrund (A24)”.

Card number three:

A sweet little christening card made for a friend. I used the Kitty Cat from my own web shop (coloured with Copics: B45, C-1, C-3, C-5, RV10, YR23, YR31 and Y06) and the flowers are a mish mash of Prima, Panduro, Wild Orchid… I got myself some bakers twine too (before my challenge not to shop before making 100 projects).

Fourth and fifth card are coming up:

These last two cards are quite similar. They are made using the same colour shemes and even the same DP. The stamps I have used are from Stämpelkällan for both of the cards as well.

I used a lot of E’s for them flowers, E08, E11, E31, E43, YG91 and YG95. The red flower is coloured with Copic E08 too, it was white to begin with.

Sooo, these were cards number 11-15 on my way to more shopping! Only (!) 85 more to go!!! :D

Tomorrow it’s once again friday, the weekend’s coming up… Have you seen the new challenge over at Creatalicious by the way??? Hop on over there and check it out right away, and join their sketch challenge for a chance of winning some very lovely digi stamps… ;)

Stamp of the week

It was a looong time ago since I last participated in Stämpelkällan’s stamp of the week, but this time I happened to make a card where that stamp fit perfectly! The stamp that we all have used is Hortensia, and you have a chance of winning it just by leaving a comment at the stamp of the week-post over at Stämpelkällan before sunday!

I was inspired by Lena Katrine when I made this card. It’s a bit bigger than the cards I normally do, because of the edge.

The Hortensia is coloured with my Copic pens, B24, B32 and B97, the green is YG00, 03 and 23.

Instead of beeing able to open it and writing inside the card, you write your message on the back of the tag. :)

There you have it, my number 10 out of 100! Only 90 more projects to go!!! :D If I keep going at this rate I will be able to shop again in October!!! I might have to pick up the pace a bit… ;)
